Operating System Facilities

The Tachyon Operating System runs jobs and programs as if they were running under MVS JES2 batch processing. The JCL supported in this release is described in chapter 5 of this guide. This release does not support TSO, APPC or Started Task Control jobs. Each executing instance of the Tachyon Operating System supports one address space but no data spaces or hiperspaces. You can run multiple copies of the Tachyon Operating System at one time on your workstation or your network, but the address spaces have no way to communicate in this release. This release of the Tachyon Operating System supports only one task.
